Join us for a thought-provoking conversation on monuments and memory!
We’re collaborating with Goethe Institut-Boston on a N+T Asks panel series considering the question, What Makes a Monument? These conversations will bring together voices from Boston, Germany, and elsewhere to re-envision the process through which monuments are built and the public space(s) they occupy. We want to reimagine, together, what the future of this landscape might look like through public art.
The first panel will be held virtually on Tuesday, March 22, 12-1:30 pm featuring panelists and artists L’Merchie Frazier and Ulf Aminde, moderated by Devin Morris of the Teacher’s Lounge. We’ll look at the current state of monuments and consider how we can all be more critical and intentional as we envision who or what is recognized in public space.
This event is free and open to all. Pre-registration required.
