On Saturday May 14th, 11 - 12:00 pm, join us for light refreshments at Breezes Laundromat, 345 Blue Hill Ave, where vibrant and large-scale format works captured the collaborative joy of artists Johnetta Tinker, Susan Thompson, Ekua Holmes, London Parker-McWhorther, Paul Goodnight and Larry Pierce.
Then, continue the celebration down the street at the Grove Hall Boston Public Library (41 Geneva Ave) to revel in the beauty and color of spring at a sunflower seed giveaway in honor of the 5th anniversary of The Roxbury Sunflower Project. The Roxbury Sunflower Project, nurtured in the N+T Accelerator, was inspired by Ekua Holmes’ love for Roxbury and by the generation of men and women who opened doors for her as a young artist. Plant seeds for the future with us, celebrate mentorship and support the future of creativity in Grove Hall.
Stop by on Saturday May 14 from 11-12PM, to celebrate the end of this year-long program, the legendary artists who participated, community and Black joy. RSVP to let us know you're coming!
This event is FREE and open to all, we ask that you register so we can ensure we have enough refreshments for everyone. Masks are highly encouraged for all attendees.
