Cassandra Cato-Louis is Artistic Director and co-founder of African Repertory Troupe. She has taught theatre for over 30 years, creating and scripting the Mattapan Neighborhood Ensemble for the Citi Performance Center in downtown Boston, teaching theatre to students at the Noonan Business Academy and Boston Ballet's Taking Steps, and previously working as the Director of Instruction for the Witherspoon Institute. Cato-Louis has also served as co-chair on the Mattapan BostonCreates committee, as a member of the Leadership Council, and the Mayor's Urban Agriculture working group. She is an experienced public school teacher in both Boston and New York and has won numerous awards for her stage and community work.
