“No one, because it hasn’t happened yet.” -
A young visitor, in response to “Who owns the future?”
The Guides who have been loquacious and empathetic stewards of Janet Zweig’s newest artwork What Do We Have In Common in Boston Common have had some incredible interactions with so many visitors (of all ages!) over the last four weeks. They’ve asked and been asked who owns the moon, trees, leisure, our data, the Internet and even, fittingly, these questions! They’ve had discussions about the affordability of artist housing, the future, and so much more.
These Guides have helped this project come to life for so many people, especially those who weren’t expecting to encounter it on their daily walks through Boston Common. We’re sharing some snapshots below of their journal reflections below. But be sure to visit them IRL before the project closes on Sunday, October 24th!
