Meet four members of our new Public Art Ambassadors cohort. They are in Dock Square, at 6 Faneuil Hall, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m - 8 p.m. until August 18, 2022, demystifying Juan Obando’s art installation Summer Sets Meet the PAAs before the art vanishes and leaves the square to old ghosts. Come hang with Abby, Erin, Paige, and Vicky. Don’t be shy!
Read their reflections + Head to Dock square for a chat on monuments/memory.

How would you want to be remembered?
“I hope people remember me by the warmth and positivity I bring to the group and the contribution I made into the art world.” - Vicky (Ming) Liu
“I would like to be planted in a garden. I’ve dreamed of a world where there are no headstones and instead a plot of land filled with various plants.” - Erin Jackson
Who/what would you want to see on a plinth?
“I would not like for a permanent statue but rather a hologram or projection. This way people important to the city can be shown, but it can change throughout time.” - Erin Jackson
“A plinth on a plinth… Placing a plinth on a plinth as an act of subversion would beg the question of why we had or have monuments in the first place? What do they provide?” - Paige Moreau
“If we were to go big -- it would be fitting to have an annual arts festival - music - and fitness fest in my memory each year. Bonus points if it changes location each year. But I hope those who knew me would remember me as someone who was kind, hardworking with an individual sense of style.” - Abby Jamiel
