N+T Asks: Can today’s crisis spark tomorrow's cultural equity?

Join us Friday, May 1 at 12:30 pm our next “N+T Asks” conversation. This week Assistant Curator Leah Triplett Harrington asks you and our guests, artists Destiny Polk and Rob “Problak” Gibbs and Executive Director of Amplify Latinx Rosario Ubiera-Minaya, "Can today’s crisis spark tomorrow's cultural equity?" Together we’ll examine issues around representation in art and public life and tackle questions like: who’s being heard? Who is being left out? How are the effects of the pandemic increasing or decreasing representation? And, does this crisis offer us an opportunity to rebalance the arts ecosystem for a more equitable future? We’ll start with a 30-minute conversation with Destiny and Juma and then open up the conversation to all participants to share your questions, ideas, and perspectives. Joining the conversation is free and open to all. See previous conversations and learn more about the series at nowandthere.org/asks
