Gisela joins us with a dynamic combination of public policy and art history experience. She is excited to participate in the development of public art in Boston, especially through engaging, accessible, and creatively situated works in the city.
Presence
In 2023, Lot Lab’s inaugural year brought us a Year of Mending – In 2024, we are now reflecting on what healing means for Boston’s people and historical landscape. Lot Lab 2024 is presenting local and internationally recognized artists, responding to the theme of Presence. Visionary artists will resurrect difficult histories to transform them with love, imagination, and speculation.
Meet Jackie McLaughlin!
Jackie's journey to the world of public art is as unique as it is fascinating. She's not your typical communications pro, and her career has been nothing short of an adventure. From navigating the intricate web of municipal government communications in the City of Revere to steering the ship of local political campaigns, and even taking charge of social media for a vibrant global book club, Jackie has been a great addition to the N+T Team!
Introducing Cohort Six
Meet Lee Ann Gilligan!
Meet Natalie Lemle!
Meet Silvia Lopez Chavez!
For longtime Now + There followers, Silvia Lopez Chavez will be a familiar face. We were honored to guide her and the Esplanade Association through their first mural on the Esplanade, Patterned Behavior, in 2018 and watch her dance the whole way through it! Help us welcome this renowned artist, public art award winner and previous Advisory Board Member to the N+T Board of Directors.

Summertime at Lot Lab
Summer is heating up in Charlestown! Enjoy the ferry ride from Long Wharf Park to Charlestown and you’ll be steps away from Lot Lab.
We officially opened Lot Lab in June, unveiling two major installations by international artist, Ghada Amer, and Boston-based artist Massiel Grullon, while youth from Turn It Around helped raise flags they’d made with local artist Kyle Browne.
